Shubham Kumar has secured AIR 1, followed by Jagarati Awasthi at AIR 2
and Ankita Jain at the third position. Kumar has graduated in B Tech
(Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay. The candidates who appeared for the
CSE personality test can check the results through the website- upsc.gov.in.
In the declared results, Shubham Kumar has secured AIR 1, followed by Jagarati Awasthi at AIR 2 and Ankita Jain at the third position. Kumar has graduated in B Tech (Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay. Jagrati Awasthi has graduated in B Tech (Electrical Engineering) from MANIT Bhopal.
A resident of Katihar district, Shubham Kumar had first cracked the exam in 2019 and is undergoing training as an Indian Defence Accounts Service probationer in Pune.
Meanwhile, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated Shubham Kumar on Twitter.
AIR 6 Meera K graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 2016. She got a campus placement in L&T services but later discontinued her working career to prepare for Civil Service exam.
The civil services (preliminary) examination, 2020 was conducted on October 4 last year. A total of 10,40,060 candidates applied for the examination, out of whom 4,82,770 appeared, a UPSC statement said. As many as 10,564 candidates qualified for appearance in the written (main) examination which was held in January, 2021, and, of them, 2,053 qualified for the personality test (interview), from which 761 candidates have been recommended for appointment.
The top 25 candidates include 13 men and 12 women. The recommended candidates also include 25 persons with Benchmark Disability — 7 Orthopedically Handicapped, 4 Visually Challenged, 10 Hearing Impaired and 4 Multiple Disabilities).
The commission had decided to commence the personality test of the civil services examination, 2020 from August 2. The personality tests were conducted from August 2 to September 22 in forenoon and afternoon sessions.

Step 2: Click on the ‘UPSC Mains result link 2020’
Step 3: A pdf file with the name and roll number of the selected candidates will appear
Step 4: Download and if needed, take a printout for further reference.
The UPSC had declared the results for the Civil Services (Main) examination on March 23. The UPSC CSE main examination was conducted from January 8 to 17.
Meanwhile, a total of 15 students from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) run by the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI), New Delhi, have been finally selected in the UPSC Civil Services exam.
The recruitment examination is conducted annually in three stages named as preliminary, mains and interview to select candidates for administrative positions in different All-India Services and central civil services including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and IRTS.
